Okay so we’re officially a week (and three days) into 2020 and have well and truly said goodbye to 2019. And it wasn’t a bad year for me in all honesty. Here are some of my favourite moments…
Also, as a side note; I’ll admit, Blogmas was a massive fail as I was just so busy and everyone in the household has been ill, visits to the hospital and I just never had five minutes to myself. Apologies! Thats also why theres been no blog post.
Valentines Day 2019 was spent in Rome, Italy. It was beautiful and although I was in bed in the hotel by 8pm every night because I was 6-7 months pregnant, I loved it. Attractions were spaced apart quite a bit, and some Romans are rude and crazy when it comes to their driving abilities but it was a small getaway I thoroughly enjoyed.

April came and saw the birth of our beautiful boy and becoming a parent for the first time. It was exciting and scary at the same time – and it still is both those things to be honest. I can’t believe that its now only a few months and he’ll be one! The two months prior to his birth saw me quite unwell, I had sciatica in one of my legs, I was deprived of nearly everything in my body and had to have injections for Vitamin B12, iron supplements a-plenty and lots of check ups. At least I’m okay with blood tests now.
The rest of the year has gone by in the blink of an eye and I feel like I should have done more whilst on maternity leave, but I was so wrapped up in my bubble of motherhood. I still managed to visit Thorpe Park twice, do a LOT of escape rooms, go the cinema once or twice, visit Mayflower Theatre, enjoy Halloween for the first time with a little one and of course his first Christmas.
This year sees me return to work, the little one turning the BIG ONE, probably a lot more escape rooms, more days out for definite and another good year, I hope.
There wasn’t much to report on for 2019 but it was still a good year for us. ❤
